RIMT - Maharaja Aggrasen Engineering College is a vibrant and intellectually challenging place of learning, nurturing scholars who share a passion for discovery and knowledge. The college is approved by AICTE, Punjab Govt. and Affiliated to PTU, Jalandhar .

History
Under the aegis of Shri Om Parkash Bansal Educational and Social Welfare Trust, Mandi Gobindgarh and able stewardship of Chairman Shri Hukam Chand Bansal RIMT has been providing seamless and unlimited growth to its students. Ascertaining the role, technology would play in the future , the visionary Chairman setup the Trust's first College, RIMT - Institute of Management & Computer Technology way back in 2001. Soon after, he setup RIMT- Institute of Engineering & Technology (2003), RIMT - College of Architecture (2004) and RIMT - Polytechnic College (2005), RIMT - College of Education (2005) .

To continue the endeavour of providing complete and comprehensive education, he came up with the new institutes - RIMT - Maharaja Aggrasen Engineering College (2007) and RIMT-School of Management Studies (2008)

It goes without saying that the new setup is abound with latest and state-of-the-Art facilities. Right from the basics like Comfortable Furniture and the aesthetic Architecture of the Lecture Theatres to Internet facility. Workshops, Laboratories, Well Stocked Library & excellent Transport facility, everything has been taken care of such that the students do not feel the dearth of amenities which might otherwise become a hindrance in their learning process.
