A one day workshop on Robotics inaugurated by Dr. Kaushal, Principal & Dr. Rajneesh Talwar, Vice Principal of RIMT-MAEC respectively at RIMT Maharaja Aggrasen Engineering College in collaboration with NetMax Technologies, Chandigarh. 200 students from Information Technology & Electronics and Communication Department participated in the workshop. Dr. Hukam Chand Bansal, Chairman of RIMT Group of institutes and Mr Vijayant Bansal Vice Chairman, RIMT Institutes appreciated Dr. Rajneesh Talwar efforts in this view to make students empowered with the technical knowledge academically as well as its practical implementation by organizing such workshops at RIMT MAEC to make the students employable and future entrepreneurs.

Dr. Talwar explained that today, robotics is a rapidly growing field, that is penetrating domestic, commercial and militarily fields and many more. Robotics is the branch of technology and combination of sciences of electronics, engineering, mechanics, mechatronics and software. This combination of sciences when programmed together is called a Robot which will operate as per the programme and give the desired results.

The world of Robotics is very exciting not only to the kids and youngsters but also to grown-ups. As robots have become more advanced and sophisticated, experts and academics are increasingly exploring the field. Students showed keen interest in robotic knowledge and learnt practical aspects related to robotics. It becomes extremely important for the younger generation to learn about the technology of robotics because robots are going to play a vital role in our daily life in the 21st century.
