MSME (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) Development Institute, Ludhiana in collaboration with RIMT – Maharaja Aggrasen Engineering College organized a seminar on ‘Industrial Motivation Campaign & self employment opportunities’ on 9th October, 2009. The main aim of the seminar was to make the students aware of self employment and entrepreneurship. The seminar was conducted for the students of Business Administration and engineering.
Dr. Pritpal Singh, Principal, RIMT – MAEC welcomed the members of MSMSE and expressed his satisfaction on the selection of RIMT – MAEC for this program, He said that The Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE’s) have been accepted as the engine of economic growth and for promoting equitable development.
Mr. Kundan Lal, Assistant Director, MSME Development Institute, Ludhiana expressed the need and importance of self employment in the developing economies like India. He advised the students to become a ‘Job Provider’ by establishing their own units rather than becoming a ‘Job Seeker’.
Mr. Vishal Bhatnagar, Deputy Manger, NSIC highlighted the qualities of a successful businessman and advised the students to think and Plan for their own business units. He motivated the students to opt for self employment.
Mr. B.K.Chaudhary, Assistant Director MSME Development Institute, Ludhiana advised the students to take initiative to establish the business units for Economic Growth.
Dr. Bimal Anjum, HOD, Deptt. Of Business Administration, RIMT – IET made them aware about the recent developments in the economy and presented his views regarding the available opportunities of employment in areas other than the service sector.
Faculty members of RIMT – MAEC Mr. Sandeep Goyal, Dean, Ms. Permjit Kaur, Ms. Urvashi, Ms. Anudeepa, Ms. Shivani Inder and Mr. Sarabjeet Singh also presented their views on the topic. |
