RIMT-Maharaja Aggrasen Engineering College, Mandi Gobindgarh once again kept its tradition of victory by winning two golds in ZEITGEIST 2010, the youth festival held at IIT-Ropar from 23rd to 25th September 2010.  Anmol Singh, a student of ECE 5th semester played RABAB at the inaugural ceremony of the function and received award of honour and gold medal in Non Percussion Classical instrument. He had also won Gold and Silver medals in PTU Zonal and Inter Zonal Youth Festival competitions held last year. Hardeep Grewal, a student of ME 7th semester grabbed a gold medal and a cash prize of Rs. 4000/- in Punjabi Solo Singing after beating more than 11 competitors. Hardeep Grewal has also set his original compositions named IZHAAR and a patriotic number “JALHIAN WALA BAAGH” on You Tube. Other candidates from RIMT group also earned fame by playing instruments like JALTARANG and ROCK BAND. The participants  thanked the management for providing them an enthusiastic atmosphere for growth and enrichment of their skills.  Dr. Hukam Chand Bansal, Chairman RIMT institutes felicitated the medal winners and said that they ’ll do with their best to promote cultural and ethical values in students.
